THE SCIENCE OF LOVING.

Henry Van Dyke says, Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.

The loneliest place on earth is never in the graveyard, for there's a place worse. It is never to be with someone who cares about you. I learned that there is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved, for we are most alive when we know we are truly loved.

LOVE is something that worries you when it's still very young. Your heart palpitates faster than you can imagine. It makes you find value in sleeplessness than in cozy dreams. You find satisfaction in that person than you will find in a sumptuous meal. As the love grows older, certain pieces fall apart because the center can no longer hold together.

The only thing we never get enough of is love, and the only thing we never give enough of is still love. Love is too powerful. You will never give enough of it, only Christ did. Love is too inexplicable, you won't get enough of it, except from GOD alone.

The reason we have broken marriages and homes is that we want more than we are given, or we give less than we receive. Expectations are always high because in loving we feel we deserve more than we are getting from it, and when we do not get enough, it leads to distaste of everything for us. Human is wired to feel loved. We are not built or designed to expect anything less

There's some kind of lust in loving, most especially when our love is centered on one particular thing that is naturally temporary. You love him because he's a good man, you love her because she's a woman of virtue. When that man loses the good in him, and the woman loses that virtue in her, you feel deflated. Then you wonder what you first had, whether love or lust, and you begin to lose it all as you're lost in yourself.

Love is truly like fire, it can warm your heart or burn it down. Love is like a pool of water, you can swim in it, or you're drowned in it. Love is like the sword forged for blood, it can kill for you or spill your own blood.

Truth be told, we can't love anyone for no reason, there are things we look out for in loving people. We look out for virtues, not vices. Inspite of this, human are unpredictable. The virtue we have today, we can lose all tomorrow. Therefore, love for virtues, but don't be obsessed with it. Don't get filled up in it, as if human virtue can never be lost.

The best way to live is to love, and how best to love a person is when you can't remember why you've loved them that much. Nothing can drain you up so quickly than when you realize that, what your love depends on is lost in the person.
Therefore, find a reason to love, but remember, the reason you love must be presumed a lust to be lost, only if you will love healthily.

Your heart, bury in her bosom, but your soul, lay in GOD'S hands. Your love, give him all of it, but your trust, entrust all with GOD alone. But if how he cares bewilders you, and how he loves cringes your soul. If her love keeps breaking boundaries, if her virtues are strong enough to bewitch your body, soul and spirit, then it may be worth something dying for.

Let us all be brave enough to love, for nothing will be more beautiful for the courage to give love a chance in our heart. Still, let us all be cautious in love, for Love is not blind—it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less.

My prayer for you today, may the good LORD help nourish your heart to learn to love Him first, of which will spread to everything and everyone else you will find a reason to love. Amen.
