IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT YOU. Part 1.

IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT YOU. Part 1.
In my shambling walk and idiotic grin over my thought on great men ever lived. I was struck by the truth that, great men ever lived, left  great names behind than the moments they ever graced the surface of the earth.

Have you ever imagined this life without you? Would you ever be missed?

There was this common saying among my friends when we were still bachelors. They will say, we can be remembered for two things in life, the problem we solve in a man's life, or the one we create.

A man is great by deeds, not by birth, so I learned, because even when we are all gone, our good deeds are never lost. We leave behind memories of our lives, of our works and of our deeds which will continue in others as regenerated souls. Those whose lives are restored to a better, higher, or more worthy state because of you.

Thoughts have strength, words have might, but deeds have power, says Matshona Dhliwayo. We weigh words, but we judge deeds. We may be judged by our words, but we are condemned by our deed that follows.

In the community you find yourself, whether big or small, remember these things to guide you,

1. Be the change you want to see.

2. Be known for one thing you will never compromise, your integrity.

3. Always look out for people's need. Be very observant. Figure out what people's needs are without you asking them, and try within your means if you can provide those needs.

4. Be a gentle man. Grow a thick skin to bear a lot. Never wrestle with a swine, for the plan is to make you like them.

5. Choose a noble course to fight for. I am not talking about starting revolution, or inciting people that can spark insurrection. What I am saying here is that, let people know you for your words and let it be what you will always do.

6. Stick to that thing you know how to do best. Discouragement will come in many forms, keep pushing. Help won't come from where you want, but remember that help will surely come from where you shall need it.

These may not be exhaustive, but I hope that  you will find it helpful, so that at the end, you may not have that big name like Nelson Mandela, but you will ever leave behind a name that will surely live longer that you ever lived.

My prayer for you today, may the good LORD help you with the courage to live life and not to just pass through life. AMEN!
